I agree with you here. This is a cool quote because it really makes the reader feel like there's an internal connection between the characters in this novel the and the people we have been reading about all semester. It really seems to tie everything together.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that this quote tied the loose ends up in the books that we have been reading this made find a connection between the characters and the setting that they are in.
ReplyDeleteYes I thought the ending really showed what this quote meant as well. I think it was foreshadowing the ending of the story in a way.
DeleteI agree. After reading the quote, it becomes much more easy to have an understanding of the certain characters and the setting, and why the setting is what it is. Not just the quote, but those few pages were very helpful for me.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great quote selection, as this feeling of being in a different world comes across both Ellie and Will's mind often. I found it interesting that they come across this feeling, whereas anyone else would think they are crazy if they shared those thoughts. In my opinion, I think they are living in their typical world, but with the previous medieval world tied into their daily lives.

DeleteI know that this has been commented a couple of times, but the author really did something cool here by making us see the connections between old King Arthur stories and this one. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteYeah this was definitely a cool addition to the novel. Its like a self-awareness at the fact that they really do come from a different world and the text itself is a combination of two worlds; original and new
