2004 King Arthur Film

After viewing some scenes from the film, I wasn't surprised how they made King Arthurs character to be. They really made him seem to be pretty heroic which is pretty much expected from a king. There was a scene in which stood out the most to me on how Arthur displayed this. It was when he was on top of the wall looking out and seeing all of the Saxons soldiers. King Arthur showed no hesitation to go and fight them alone to save his knights and people. Even when Lancelot tried to stop him and talk King Arthur into not fighting alone, Arthur showed no hesitation to the great task at hand. This made King Arthur appear to be a courageous and heroic leader.

There was another thing in the clips that we saw that happened to surprise me was King Arthur and the knights. In a scene Arthur was talking to a higher up bishop about future plans for Rome and the bishop asked Arthur if the knights could leave. Arthur said that they are equal and whatever he had to say to him he could say in front of them as well. This shocked me because a king wasn't concerned with what was said around his peers. It was almost like he didn't see himself as better than his knights which made his seem respectable and admirable.
