Since bring stuck in the house all time, I've developed a new found appreciation for video games. Particularly PS4 games in the third person perspective, and since I've been watching my family play Assassins Creed: Odyssey for months now, I would like to pitch to Ubisoft to make an Assassins Creed, based on the tale of King Arthur.
In this game you could choose at the start whether you wanted to play as Arthur, Lancelot, Morgana or Guinevere, and you character choice at the beginning would set you up for the path you take throughout the game. While there is a main story line to follow, your individual game play choices could add variants, so it doesn't play out the same way every time. In the game, you would also get to explore the world of King Arthur a little more in depth and get to see an approximation of daily life. I was also thinking if you play as Arthur or Lancelot, you get Merlin as a guide throughout the game but if you play as Guinevere or Morgana, the Lady of the Lake guides you throughout the game.
I love the Assassins Creed series. I played so many of them. My favorite is Assassins Creed: Origins. I think your idea is great and I can imagine the play through in my head already and I think it's so cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Meghan - a great idea! What kind of quests do you anticipate each of the different characters having in the game? I'm wondering if you should hold off on having Arthur as a character - maybe have him in the cut scenes and have your choices be Lancelot and Gawain instead? You'd have a lot more material there for players to draw from and I'd love to see SGGK as part of the gameplay somehow!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing your project!
If you chose Guinevere, would her story be like the ones we have read? (just loving Lancelot a lot), or would the player be able to deviate and become a key player as Guinevere? I think if so, that would be a pretty cool alteration.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea as I am also a fan of the assassins creed games. I think being able to walk around the Kingdom as Arthur and see what a day in the life of him looks like is a very good idea.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea as well I was actually thinking about doing this myself before i decided to do the TV series. I think that this could make for a very interesting project.
