What will happen to the triangle?

"...That two knights with malice in their hearts first plotted the downfall of Sir Lancelot and Queen Gwynevere; and by those plots brought about the destruction of King Arthur's Court."  I know...I know the first sentence of the reading...really?  Just let me explain.  This is the first time I have read the beginning of a reading that we have been assigned and been genuinely excited to find out what happens!  The author did a very good job of really drawing in the audience with the use of this very first sentence.  What will happen to Arthur's Court?  How will this effect the relationship triangle of Arthur, Lancelot, and Gwynevere?  All questions that the reader can ask his or herself after reading only the first sentence of this chapter.

Task Two

  1. I completely agree! I thought that this way a good way to make the reader intrigued with the story that was about to be told, especially because it lead to the death of Arthur. Since King Arthur died it removed him from the triangle, do you think that Lancelot would have been relieved to hear the news and thought he could finally be with Gwynevere?

    1. I see what you are saying here. I do not think Lancelot would be completely filled with joy when hearing about Arthur's death because Lancelot does seem to have lots of respect and honor. I feel like he would still be deeply saddened about the death of his king, however I do not think this will stop him from continuing to pursue Gwynevere.

  2. Yeah, it's kinda cool how you can be told what is going to happen but without being like, "aw, DANG, spoilers!" I do think good stories are those when we are excited to see HOW something happens, rather than just reading/watching to find out WHAT happens.
