I was not surprised how the film was set up or how Arthur was presented as the King
of his people. The heavy knight suit that he wore resembles the way knights
dressed in that era, as well as the head gear and his sword. The exact outfits
that he wore were shinier and nicer than the others around him as well as his
headgear. King Arthur was also more cleaned up while the other men were dirty,
and some wore dirty clothing.
I
was surprised to see more than just Arthur riding a horse because I expected
just him to be since he is the king. I was also surprised seeing the respect he
had for his knights. Back then, it always seemed liked the king, or commander
of knights, hold such a high position being in charge, however, the film showed
Arthur working with his knights and showing respect to them. As expected, I
thought Arthur came across as a very heroic person. He let his knights return
home, even though he very much needed them to help fight. He also says he’s “teaching
free will and equality” to the minister, which shocked me to hear that said by
the King during that time.
